Handmade Christmas gifts - Pt.1

Now that Christmas is in the past, I can post photos! This is a king sized quilt I made for my mother-in-law.

She was pretty surprised when she opened the box!

I did a simple all-over meander with some free-motion stars mixed in. I stitched in the ditch around the batik stars, and used the Magic Binding technique to bind it. I'm glad she liked it!

I was pretty happy with how it turned out!

This is the first of 2 finishes for me in December. Be sure to read Part 2 to see the quilt I finished for my son!  And if you're looking for motivation to finish some projects of your own, check out my Facebook group, UFOQueen2013 ( I can't change the name now lol). It's a great group for motivation and inspiration!

Love it? As of 1/10/14, this pattern is available in my Craftsy shop! Stop in and download your copy, and make one for yourself :-)
